Requirements
Platform
LumiScan Calibration runs on:
-
ctrlX OS (ctrlX CORE or ctrlX IPC), where it is installed from the App Store. Configuration, control, coordinates and status are exchanged through the ctrlX Data Layer.
-
a PC with Windows 11 or Ubuntu 24.04. Configuration, control, coordinates and status are exchanged through LumiScan Keryx, the Data Layer of HD Vision Systems for PCs.
The node addresses are the same on both. See ctrlX Data Layer and LumiScan Keryx.
Licence
How LumiScan Calibration is licensed depends on where you bought it and where it runs:
| Bought from | Runs on | Licensing |
|---|---|---|
HD Vision Systems |
Windows 11 or Ubuntu 24.04 |
The licence is held on your LumiScan Key. It is a one-time purchase and needs no renewal. |
ctrlX Store |
Windows 11 |
The licence is held in ctrlX WORKS. The LumiScan Key is required in addition; it protects the software against reverse engineering. |
ctrlX Store |
ctrlX OS (ctrlX CORE or IPC) |
ctrlX licence |
Each device on which LumiScan Calibration runs at the same time needs its own LumiScan Key. Keys can be exchanged between devices.
How to install CodeMeter Runtime and how to request, renew and move licences is described in LumiScan Licensing.
On ctrlX OS, the application shuts down shortly after starting if the licence is missing; the reason is written to the system log.
If the licence is lost while the application runs, every module reports status -4
(missingLicense) and runs no function until it is back.
Calibration Data
LumiScan Calibration requires a calibration data file in TIFF format for each module.
The TIFF file contains the 2D-to-3D mapping used to convert image coordinates into corresponding 3D coordinates on the calibrated plane. The file is generated from calibration images and provided by HD Vision Systems.
For information on obtaining the required calibration data, see Tiff File.
Streams (experimental)
A remap stream reads another application’s result through the compiled schemas LumiScan Calibration ships. A plain stream needs a node that holds a float32 or float64 array, for example a PLC variable. See Transforming a Stream (Experimental).
