Electric shock hazard
When performing maintenance on a powered device, there is a risk of electric shock. This could result in damage to the product, serious injury or even death.
|
|
Material components attract dust, dirt, carpet fibers, animal hair and smoke particles. These can cause the hardware to overheat:

Cleaning the Camera Housing
Observe the following instructions when cleaning the surface of the camera housing:
-
Do not use solvents, as they may damage the surface of the camera housing.
-
Use a clean, soft, and dry cloth that does not become statically charged during cleaning, such as a cotton cloth.
-
Remove stubborn contamination using a soft cloth slightly moistened with a neutral cleaning agent.
-
Do not use paper towels, facial tissues, or dish towels. Particles may detach from these materials and contaminate the camera housing.
Cleaning the Coated Front Glass
The front glass has a sensitive optical coating. Contamination, scratches, or damage to the coating may impair the performance of the camera. Therefore, clean the front glass only in accordance with the following instructions.
|
These instructions also apply to the previous version of the front glass. There is no need to distinguish between the two versions. |
Suitable Cleaning Agents and Materials
-
Use only clean, soft cotton cloths or clean chamois leather.
-
Use a water-based, neutral, or mildly alkaline glass cleaner.
-
The glass cleaner must not contain any abrasive or scouring components.
Cleaning Procedure
-
Carefully remove coarse particles and contamination from the glass surface. Do not rub the particles across the surface.
-
Use a sufficient amount of cleaning fluid to ensure that the surface remains well wetted during cleaning.
-
Clean the glass with minimal pressure. Avoid dry rubbing and do not allow the cleaning cloth to squeak against the surface.
-
Wipe the glass from the center toward the edges.
Unsuitable Cleaning Agents and Materials
Do not use any of the following agents or materials, as they may damage the optical coating:
-
alkaline washing solutions, such as curd soap and certain laundry detergents;
-
alkaline solutions and strongly alkaline cleaners, such as toilet cleaners;
-
acids, such as hydrochloric acid, vinegar, or lemon juice;
-
descaling agents, especially products based on citric acid;
