Installing the CodeMeter Runtime Environment

LumiScan VGR requires the CodeMeter® Runtime Environment for licensing.

If CodeMeter Runtime is already installed, make sure you are using version 7.60c or later.

A CodeMeter Runtime Kit installer for Windows 64-bit is available at:

Follow the manufacturer’s instructions to install CodeMeter Runtime.

  1. Connect the CmDongle to a free USB port on the PC.

  2. The LED on the CmDongle alternates between red and green for approximately 1–2 seconds. Windows then detects the new USB device.

Installing LumiScan VGR

Before installing LumiScan VGR, install and configure the LumiScanX camera according to the LumiScanX manual.

To install LumiScan VGR:

  1. Close all open applications.

  2. Navigate to the location of the LumiScan VGR installer.

  3. Double-click Installer_LumiScan_VGR_va_b_c_d.exe*.

  4. Wait until the licence agreement window opens.

  5. Accept the licence terms by clicking Accept.

  6. To change the default installation location, click Browse, select the desired location, and click OK.

  7. Click Next to continue.

  8. If desired, select a Start Menu folder for the program links.

  9. To avoid creating shortcuts, select Do not create links.

  10. Click Install.

  11. When the installation is complete, click OK.

  12. Click Finish.

where *a, b, c, and d depend on the software version.

The Start Menu selection can be omitted depending on the installation package.
