Can not be interpreted

The position read out by the PLC appears to be wrong

  • Make sure that you are using the PLC for Pose Mode and that the HandEye is successfully connected to the PLC.

  • If you see the following message on the Profinet tab, the connection has not been established.

Profinet tab with the connection error message highlighted in red
  • Make sure that you are using the correct cifx card name: (normally it is cifx0;0 if you only have one Hilscher card).

The program cannot detect the pattern well. This can lead to a poor calibration.

  • Delete the image

  • Change the orientation of the calibration plate.

  • Capture a new image.

No image added after capture.

Calibration pattern is not found.

  • Check whether the image is over- or underexposed (too dark or too bright).

  • Make sure that the camera can see the pattern points on the plate.

  • Try changing the orientation of the calibration plate.

  • Change the orientation of the calibration plate.

(depending on the application)

  • Too many or too few calibration images captured.

  • The calibration plate is too far away from the camera.

  • The viewing angle of the calibration images differs too little.

  • Between 6 and 15 images are recommended.

  • Check whether the captured images match the recommended orientation of the calibration plate (see Setup).
